I have a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus. I put a new nut - comp i think. And had the saddles ground to match the radius of the fret board. That guitar plays as good as my 2K Gibson Les Paul (which i have literally done nothing to).

I was going to suggest looking at the amp. Mesa's are very nice dark sound, at least my Dual Recto i can get it. Throaty is how i like to describe it.

i'm late too. I have the rocket (silver) and it works great. Sounds good with my Dual Recto and my Marshall 6100. Adds exactly what i need when i need it. Sometimes i use it as a lead switch, but lately as just adding to the rhythm and lead (leave it on permanently). I thought it was pricey...

Thanks guys! i could do a small amp and cab, which would do the same thing. I don't do much metal; i'm more of a hard rock/stoner rock/grunge style....if i was to do metal i'd go full on solid state ha!

I usually play a mesa dual Recto, or a Marshall 100 w (6100) - what small combo amp would you all recommend as a replacement? so far, the Mesa Mark V is something that seem to be more similar to what i'm playing now. Just curious what everyone has experience with. Thanks in advance!!

Solderless wiring set up. I am good at soldering, but in this case i did not need too.

So, i decided just for shits to see if the output from the guitar cable itself was different (though i'm sure this doesn't really measure much) the ohm meter reads the same for both pickups.. I don't think the pickup will work at all....?

I'm a complete newb when it comes to amp biasing. I bought a nice matched pair of power amp tubes for my Marshall 6100 amp. Does anyone have anywhere that a guy can learn how to do this without - A) killing himself/ B) ruining the amp? and most of all, getting it right so the new tubes work...
