That explains it. Looks like a cathode biased amp can be adjusted by replacing the bias resistor. If that's the case, it's too bad there's not a pot so it can be fine tuned.

+1. Just installed a pair of G12H75 creambacks in my Port City 2x12. Had V30s before. The new speakers sound great!

For #3 it was mentioned on another forum that the Fender SuperSonic 60 is a fantastic pedal platform. I've never tried one though. Otherwise for #3 the Katana K100 combo.

Too bad there was a falling out between Diezel and Jens. I had a great experience with him, and referred a friend later on who reported back similar accolades. Not sure what happened, but he treated me well and did a great job on my amp.
