if you want dark alder, if you want something that is really well rounded then do basswood. I know... I know... Bassswood.... But guess what? If you're playing a 7 or 8 string guitar and death metal you probably want a more processed even tone so basswood is a good choice for that.
External Bias points for each individual power tube. You can put 4 different kinds of power tubes in this bad boy at the same time <3 At the show mike has 2 kt88's and two el34's which sounded pretty killer.
Went to a show last night and got to hear this bad boy in a live mix. Holy shit! It has the fullness of two guitarists playing at the same time but the tightness of one. I has a fantastic frequency range and really cuts and fits right in where guitar needs to be in the mix. Awesome job with this...
Yeah who want's to hear new interesting music that goes outside of the minor scale?    Enjoy being stuck in the past gentlemen

I guess i just assumed that you did this..... But have you tried plugging your guitar directly into the input with no effects and see if it still has the volume loss?
it doesn't matter at all what kind of tone you have when you are playing by yourself. I've found that about 90% of awesome mix tones sound pretty awful by themselves. Keep messing with you eq while your band is playing. forget what it sounds like when they are not.
Hey Jens! Hope all is well my friend. And yeah TAD had a issue for alittle didn't they? lol Glad to see you are doing well and doing stuff with Engl these days!!!
