it is very responsive to your volume knob. I mean obviously if you have active pickups that wont work, but if not then it cleans up real nice. It also has a more and less switch... -Alex

It's so much easier to get a wicked tone when recording with a modeler. You don't have to mess with different cabs, speakers, mics, mic positions, then dialing the amp in, room sizes and dampening... Ugh it's messy recording an amp. Is it worth the effort? It takes ALOT more effort to get the...

long ago when i first started playing i bought a digitech GNX4. It sounded terrible but it really let me explore the world of effects and taught me alot about them.

Any amp will have a problem cutting through when you dont dial it in right. Guitars are a mid range instrument. Go to a show and listen to them sound check the guitars. If the band sounds really great when they are all playing, the guitars will sound like shit 90% of the time when they are sound...

+1 Turn down the gain. I play tech death and on channel 3 I have the gain below 12oclock. Watch the presence knob, and what are you doing with the mid cut? Got it on or off? And if you have it on what settings you using? -Alex
