Thank you for clearing this up, Papa! I am wondering if maybe Jens did do the "Dekompression" mod when he had my amp in 2011. I kind of don't think so, though; he didn't say he did that. Either that or my amp really had an issue before that was affecting its tone :'/ the guy who I bought it...

I know what you mean. Even though it is labeled as "Heavy," the gain was not very high. My VH4 is less compressed (not by too much), but is still tight as hell and very gainy haha. I actually have my gain around 10-11 O'clock with my lower output pickups and that covers Tool-Heavier stuff...

I have done things to my VH4 that I HOPE Peter would be proud of... I have stripped her, put cylindrical objects in her, turned her ON, poked her insides with two metal pointy sticks (because I am classy; the were red and black) and then, I made her scream ;) :lol: :LOL:
