Sozo's are used for coupling, Mojo Dijon's for tone caps (tone stack) and Mallory 150's for PI caps and as 100nF cap in clean tone stack. Regards, Andy :)

You have 2k7 in series or paralleled by .47uF cap? If paralleled You are getting 2.12k in cathode paralleled by .47uF. In my amp any value below 5k there produced hiss and squeal. Lucky You if Your amp doesn't do that :). I had to stay with 10k there paralleled by tweaked Cameron mod. Works...

Yes, it is 30mA per tube. If You set it higher You'll exceed 5W on grid stoppers which would cause the amp to malfunction. I have 7W resistors and set the bias max. at 32mA. More mA's make my amp sounding harsh. Regards, Andy :)

Well, "Uber Mod" is actually a conventional name for a tweak, which is a variation of R12 Cameron Mod, where instead of 1uF cap .68uF is used. It doesn't make XTC sounding "Uber" though, so the name is a bit confusing, sorry about that :). You put it on R12 the same way as Post2004 Factory...

It won't be too bright. It'll become more open and cutting. C40 Excursion cap muddies a tone horribly, wish that removing that cap was first mod I have done to my amp. Cut it out and see for Yourself that You're not gonna miss it. I got it on switch now, which I'm going to surely remove next...

101B isn't easy amp to setup and dial. It isn't "plug'n'play" amp, it needs working on it quite extensively. You could dial it to be more open though. If You don't want to mess with the circuit - try setting Presence, dirty Middle and Treble around 2 o'clock, dirty Excursion to M or T and...
