Yep. We saw EJ three nights in a row during the AVM tour. Holy cr@p! It was a borderline religious experience. On night 3, we were in this tiny club in Sacramento, the Cattle Club. And he brought his full arsenal. Absolutely magical.

Great thespian. I really liked him in “The Replacements” as Coach Jimmy. “Now go out there and catch a ball for change! Alright??!!!”

I like 2-3 delay repeats for leads, but no reverb when running distortion. Clean tones are a different beast.

Listened to it this a.m. It’s interesting; a lot of truly talented individuals seem to be their own worst enemy.

Not a 2203, but I dimed my 100w SLX through a Boogie 280w Recto 4x12. Loud? You bet. But, it was glorious. Especially when the gain and sensitivity were backed down. Played a Strat into it, and it was Blackmore’s “Made In Japan” tone.

I think 2025 will be pretty much just working with the AxeFX3.

When I first started playing, a gazillion years ago, I loved EVH’s tone sound, and how gain-y it sounded. But, I didn’t like AC/DC’s guitar tone sound. Of course, I didn’t realize how close in sonic DNA they were to each other. Needless to say, I now love that Marshall-y goodness of AC/DC’s...

I stand corrected. The Black Sun mode is a mod. My Helios most definitely doesn’t have that. Having said that, I can get damn close to the sound/tone Ola gets in that video.(while using my Charvel Danhagge signature guitar)
