I've been using one for years in front of my JMP and most of the time it is my "always" on pedal. My amp settings usually range from the gain cranked (my JMP has a Jose mod) to setting the amp right at the point of break-up and hitting it with my BE-OD with the gain set low. To my ears the EP...
Honestly, it may not be the popular choice but I cannot disagree. My HSS strat came with the Atomic. FWIW it sounded pretty darn good!.....I just wanted to try something different so I started with a JB, then the Aldrich, and now a Super Distortion.
I have used a Suhr Aldrich in my strat and currently use a Dimarzio Super Distortion. Both sounded great! The only reason I did not keep the Aldrich in there was because I moved it into my Agile LP.
Nice! Apparently the Mooer IR loader has gotten some really good reviews as well. IIRC Ola has a video talking about using it direct to front of house as well.
Damn.....the more I hear those Mooer pedals the more I considering getting a few. Your clip sounds great! In fact, I've also checked out the ME-200 as well.
Totally agree!! For practice I used to run my pedalboard (with BE-OD) into my 44 magnum and into a Marshall 4x12 and had no problem in the mix! The 44 magnum came to every gig for the exact reason you cite....on the fly fix.
Will Do! I usually use Reaper but just downloaded the free version of Cakewalk by Bandlab so using the free Helix Native trial would be a good excuse to try both out.
