back to the EQ...I have a 7 band boss pedal, would you still use a slight smile as described above? I KNOW it's a matter of taste and all that jazz, but I don't have my amp/pedals in front of me but I should have some time to dick around with it tonight at practice...so looking for guidelines

how do you normally set your eq in the loop? and by that I mean which frequencies are you boosting and cutting? also, which pins on V3 do you put your 10pf cap?

just did some more testing. no matter the combination of pedals, no pedals, 6 inch patch cables, long run cables - if the nova repeater is in the loop i am getting a noticeable volume and bass drop. However running it in front of my amp does not seem to yield the same effect. I'm fucking...

so....this can be done with a ceramic cap? or does it HAVE to be silver mica?

so my newly acquired Nova Repeater is causing a bass and volume loss when I put it in the loop. any ideas what could be causing this? or how to fix it? I've tried both inputs (lo and hi) and that doesn't seem to change the issue at all.

replace the tubes and then start getting crazy with ideas of what could be wrong. some contact cleaner in all the jacks wouldn't hurt either.

yeah I installed those Aldrichs in that explorer...and WOW. sounds great. another vote for Aldrichs.
