I have mid 90's Ecstacy 101b that I've have since 97.
I will never sell it.
I think they are the Swiss army knife of amps.
You just have to know how to dial them in.
So I already have a Strymon Timeline, a DL8 Hardwire, and now a Keeley Halo.
I like the timeline but it is too much for my small brain.
I like the DL8 because it is very easy to use and I just keep it on modulation.
I heard the Keeley Halo when it first came out.
I went to buy one back then...
The headstock on the focus is similar to gibson explorers.
The barettas had a wider headstock and the early ones were not slanted.
I also believe there is a slight difference in the baretta vs focus bodies.
I have 4 Focus 1000 guitars.
2 red ones a blue one and a black one.
I love them.
First thing I do is change the pickups.
Accept one came with an 80's mj wound jb.
I left that one.
Back in the day Lynch mopped the floor with Nuno.
Prince is an amazing musician.
I have seen seen the solo all along the watch tower and he ruled.
But Vai is the man .
Nuno is a great player and has chops but Lynch was way more his own thing.
Nanos songs left a lot to be desired.
Now days Nuno...
Congrats on the new Bogner !
I owned a Rev blue and sold it to member here.
I liked it but did not like the volume change from high gain to clean.
Plus I wanted a Helios so that's also why I sold it.
They sure sound thick and do drop tuning very wall !
