Does anyone else prefer overdrive to distortion? I rather have a good OD pedal and put a clean boost through it to get a hotter signal than use an actual distortion pedal. The only distortion pedal I've ever REALLY liked was the MI Audio Tube Zone, but that thing can do it all. :rock:

It can be a clean boost, overdrive or distortion pedal. How do you use it in your rig and what do you like about it? I'll go first... I gotta say my LordOVchaoS modded Boss SD-1. I use it as an low gain od tone into the clean channel of my amp and I boost it with a Bad Monkey to get a more mid...

I've always boosted my amps with all kinds of boosts and I've always had hiss and buzz issues. I got a noise supressor pedal and that killed all the noise. For me, if I'm using a boost I HAVE TO HAVE a noise supressor. :yes:

The one I had was the most recent hot-rodded version and it had EL-34's. Maybe it was just the tubes I was hearing to make me think it sounded Marshall-y. :confused:

I owned a early 90's EL-34 model and with a boost it was a Marshall killer. Great cleans, and the graphic eq is a nice option to have on a British voiced amp. :yes:
