Does anyone else prefer overdrive to distortion? I rather have a good OD pedal and put a clean boost through it to get a hotter signal than use an actual distortion pedal. The only distortion pedal I've ever REALLY liked was the MI Audio Tube Zone, but that thing can do it all.
After seeing some very well made youtube clips I think I gotta go out and try the OCD and the Xotic BB. The latest version of the OCD sounds SICK!

It can be a clean boost, overdrive or distortion pedal. How do you use it in your rig and what do you like about it?
I'll go first... I gotta say my LordOVchaoS modded Boss SD-1. I use it as an low gain od tone into the clean channel of my amp and I boost it with a Bad Monkey to get a more mid...
I've seen those Flanger/Doublers go for up to $500. Good luck with your search. That's a rig I've always wanted to put together myself. :D <-- JEALOUS.
I've always boosted my amps with all kinds of boosts and I've always had hiss and buzz issues. I got a noise supressor pedal and that killed all the noise. For me, if I'm using a boost I HAVE TO HAVE a noise supressor.
I am 99% sold. I just read the whole FAQ page and to me this is a piece of DREAM gear.
I love how they don't overload it with amps, cab sims, etc. Only pedals. FINALLY!!!
The one I had was the most recent hot-rodded version and it had EL-34's. Maybe it was just the tubes I was hearing to make me think it sounded Marshall-y.
I owned a early 90's EL-34 model and with a boost it was a Marshall killer. Great cleans, and the graphic eq is a nice option to have on a British voiced amp.
I'm proud to say I'm one of Joe's first customers. He offered to do a couple mods for free, first come, first serve. All I paid for was shipping, and I got my SD-1 modded into a fire-breather. Joe is a great guy to do business with and he does excellent work.
