Oh yeah, in this case, I agree with you. China is not Mexico. It costs money to ship. Plus, you have to ship the head back in the US... In fact I agree with you if the exact same material is used. and if the quality control is great. I am not "against" China. The Asia production can be great...

It simply can't be. If it was possible, MOD 50 would have been made in China from the beginning... and any product made in China would sound as good as US stuff.

Moreover, Bruce told me that the guy who solder the new resistor shouldn't have great skills in soldering so I think the problem may come from a failing solder, so it's nobody's fault but the guy soldering guy ;) ....

I got an answer from Bruce! As always, he is THE man! :thumbsup: In fact, he told me that 2 resistances were changed. So I will replace them with one with stock value and I'll see if the oscillating stop. Jeff: thanks for your offer to buy me back the module but it's only a small problem to...

Just got the answer from jeff and he told me he's not the one who mod the module. :confused: So I emailed Bruce. Wait and see...

Thanks guys! With bright on "2" however, it sounds Killer!!! :) I hope Jeff comes here sometimes even if he's Eggie no more. I'll send him a mail. When you look at the board, you can no notice it's written "MOD" and not "COD". Quite strange... :confused:

I think it comes from the bright switch in fact. Because the "hiss" comes when in "0" or "1" position. the "2" is ok. Strange anyway... :(

Hello! I just got my COD module. Great sound.... BUT, I hear a strange frequency when playing. Like a metal piece that fibrate somewhere inside :scared: . I change tubes but the problem is still here. I notice the frequency change when I use the bright switch or when I turn the Treble...

I think the same. I had the chance to test the CAE and the M4 (was my first modular stuff test) the same day (wiyh same power amp and same cab) and I don't even understand why somebody would prefer the CAE... or maybe just for the "80's" sound

It's always a hard kind of question... :) It depends on too many parameters... If it's TUbe, i'll say the mic is badly put in front of the speaker; and there is too much gain (kind of muddy sound sometimes) I'd say that a good tube amp badly miked sound like a digital unit :) Anyway, I'm...

I use an Intellifex from Rocktron. Great unit for the price. if you only want reverbs, delay and chorus, don't look any further. I use it in the serial loop and when bypassed, it's like you've got nothing in the loop. :rock:

Here is the question! Some pedals cause some hum or bad sound because of missmatched impedance when put in an effect loop. So, before buying or even testing some Reverb or Delay pedal or other type of pedal, I'd like to know your experience with existing models. What are the ones with you...
