    6550s - SED winged C or Svetlana Style S Logo - which?

Herbert with SED 6550s or EL34s? I play an Einstein, but like the EL34 more than the 6550s - but it is a different Amp! ed

    6550s - SED winged C or Svetlana Style S Logo - which?

Hi, when it comes to 6550 tubes, there is always spoken of Svetlanas. Now there are the Svetlana Style S-Logo, which supposed not to be like the originals, and the SED winged C, which seems to be like the originals (has something to do with this weired tube-business), I think. Which 6550s are...

    Effects

My experience was different: I play an Einstein and use a Replifex and a G-Major in the serial loop. I compared both effect units to the pure sound by using a Lehle D-Loop (best quality loop) and found, that the Replifex colored the sound a bit, but the G-Major didn't - I think, I could adjust...

    V1-V2 on the modules

Thanks for your reply, muudrock! I'm just doing that experience with tubechanging now. Is it possible, that a tubechange effects one channel of the module more than the other channel? Or does it effect both the same way? Cheers ed

    V1-V2 on the modules

When you look at the front of the modules, I think, V1 is on the left, right? Is this for all Egnater modules or are there any differences? An additional question, if someone have the patience to answer: What are the differences between V1 and V1 in the modules? I know, V1 is the first stage...

Hey Aeroic - Tell Me About 6550s

Hi, one more question, please: When you talk about Svetlana - do you mean the SEDs (which supposed to be the original Svetlanas) or do you mean the newer (rebuilt) "Svetlanas"? Cheers ed

    Deizel Einstein Territory?

Hi, I just have the Einstein standing side by side with a M4/RT2/50 (EG3/4, EG5, SL, SL2x, COD,) and would say, a EG3/4 would bring you closest to Einstein's channel2 and 1mode3. Definately! SLx and EG5 won't do that job and I'm not quite sure, if an x mod would be the ticket. Best wishes ed

EU: Want to trade my EG5 for a Clean or Low-Gain Module

Hi, since I'm finding myself playing in a "softer" rockgroup, I need a lower-gain module and would like to trade my EG5. I'm looking for a two channel VX, newer TD/DL or maybe a Bassman (I'm not sure, if this is similar to my SL). The EG5 is in mint condition and stock. Since I live in the EU...

Diezel Schmidt: switching the channels via MIDI: solved.

Hi Todor, I just read the manuals of Schmidt and G-System, and actually you should be able to do some switching functions, but, as said before, try a stereo cable! bw

Diezel Schmidt: switching the channels via MIDI: solved.

Hi Todor, I guess, that the jacks have to be stereo. I have an Einstein - I switch channels and master 1 and 2 by using my G-Major or Replifex with one cable, and there the jack has to be stereo. Do you know, if the G-System has exactly the same switching options like the G-major? If not, try...

    Using Distortion pedals with Einstein

Hi, I tried a couple of pedals with the Einstein. I could dial in some useful sounds, but only in channel one, mode two. And then only, when I had the gain at the Einstein not more than twelve o' clock. I used - before preamp - the OCD (with 12 - 15V !!!), which worked fine, also the BB and RC...
