Diezel VH4 or other heads with EL34’s

You can use a 5 pin cable on 7 pin device with no issue. Anyway to change channel you should do as follow: Press the program change on the foot switch connected with the amp. Select the channel on the amp, press store Press another button and repeat. Once you store all you need everything...

Diezel V30 FL 4x12 dark sounding

It is pretty bright compared to other V30 loaded 4x12. However a 2x12 would generally be brighter, a slanted 2x12 with G12-T75 would be incredibly brighter. Just a random video where you can hear a 4x12 V30 and a 4x12 G12T75 on a slanted cab: The orange in the clip is a darker cab then the...

Serviceability of the VHX in the future?

The design is made with split boards so the digital part is completely separated (one small board on the back and one on the front) and very easy to be replaced, as that would be the preferred way to fix any possible issue. However just for your information: How easy is it to replace the...

Pulling power tubes in the VHX?

Yes, it doesn't work if you are seeking for power amp distortion (so not properly an attenuator), but if the overall volume is below PI distortion the tone will be much closer to the one you would get without it, so for your purpose it should work!

Pulling power tubes in the VHX?

Pulling two tubes will only reduce power by 40W, that means slightly less bass and almost no volume difference! The embedded attenuator does a better job as it's buffered and let you have your master volume at the sweet spot (9 to 11 clock)

Would you please give me your email? Thank you!!

VHX crackle/sizzle noise in the direct outs

That sounds like a leaking capacitor! Where are you located? Thank you, Leo

VHX crackle/sizzle noise in the direct outs

How frequent is the intermittent issue? Would you please check if that happens with any IR (internal or bypassed)? Any chance you can record the issue? Thank you, Leo

    Vhx suggestion

The same button used to enter the preset manager is used already as back button, does it has some issue?

Issues with using Fractal gear to send MIDI commands to channel switch Diezel amps (Herbert, in this case).

Please follow page 53 workaround using Fractal system: https://www.diezelamplification.com/manuals/service/service-manual_V1-2.pdf

    Vhx pre loop

This means almost surely that the send cable inside got loose somehow. If you like we can proceed with warranty repair now, or if you don't want to be without amp we can wait for your next re-tube so I can get in contact with your preferred tech to quickly fix the issue or make the warranty...

    Vhx pre loop

If you connect the guitar to input and a cable from send to return of the pre loop there should be no noise, it's not clear if you tried it with the guitar attached or not. If you hear noise this way it's possible that a connection got loose inside the amp, if no noise then it's almost certain...

    Vhx pre loop

Does it happen also without the pre loop? I mean if you plug your guitar in the pedal and from pedal to input?

    Vhx pre loop

If the cable is not connected to anything it may still pick noise because it's high impedance and no source. To check for issue please connect your guitar to input and verify it works as it should. Then connect the same cable to PRE LOOP return instead, and nothing in the input, then activate...

    Diezel VHX

Thank you so much! As for tube layout V1 is half used for CH1 and CH2, the other half for 3 and 4. V2 and V3 are for the preamp and mostly shared by all channels, V4 is the return driver and V5 the PI. I would usually not recommend a JJ in V1 as usually they sound a bit mushy and too low mid...

    Diezel VHX

That is something I could do! The sliders will still be on the side so you know exactly the relative knob to turn but there may be an overview in the middle!

    Diezel VHX

My favourite band are actually Weezer! They used to run VH4 live with very extreme setting that make it sounds almost like shape 2. The editor is very close to be released in alpha stage!
