Coming up on almost a year with my V2 of the Orange tester. I use it on my tech bench as I get a few amps here and there to look at and fix when I have time between guitar repairs.
It has been really great and has picked off many bad and low performing tubes.
I may add the rectifier module...
Hopefully they will actually make the USB workable on the unit?
That would be great! I would actually consider getting another one if that was the case. Their cab emulations are fantastic!
Now this is the correct answer!
Love the SLO!
I have avoided them for years as I thought I didn't like them based on some of the modelling stuff that I tried, which was my first mistake.
Got the X88-IR last year. It is my main unit now both recording and live. Just stellar tones from that...
I can’t say I have hated everything g but for me the Diezel Einstein was not my favorite. I like the plex channel on it but the high gain was a middy mess.
I traded it back for a Herbert and loved that amp.
I'm on a Mac and have been using several different DAWs through the years. I've had Pro Tools for a long time and know my way around it. I've used Studio 1 for a time and was using Luna since it was in beta but it is still a very unfinished product. I tried Cubase and just didn't like it but...
Fantastic unit! I have 2 of them. One is for my backup board and what I take to rehearsals. The other is for my Soldano X88-IR that I use for live.
Very easy to program on the unit. Very intuitive. Don't need the editor if you don't want to.
FX sound fantastic and all works great via...
I had a 20th a few years back and it was stellar! Loved everything about it.
Should not have sold it.
but....I have moved on to other setups these days that I enjoy just as much.
