Hmm that doesn't sound right. I mean you don't actually have to use a guitar at all to profile, just within the refining process. Maybe you should use different guitars when doing the refining that way any harmonics and other odd noises will be captured that one guitar may not produce.
Distortion is for gainy profiles, clean is for cleans. What I did was pick an amp profile I am familiar with (JMP 77) and turn the distortion sense down until the amp profile responds like a real JMP 1977 Marshall does. Then lock that parameter and all done.
If you are having issues with profiles being too 'sharp' or not meaty enough you should turn down the clean/distortion sense under the Input function, and then hit the LOCK button. I can't stress this enough.. this tunes the kemper to your guitar/pickup. For me I have the distortion sense way...
Just measure the thickness of the metal casing. Its quite easy to see which unit is better built. But of course if you actually read the rest of my statement I said that the software matters more.
Oh and there is this youtube dude: RNDhwM0s03I

Keep in mind ALL the people with problems post there. Being a new product and all..
The Kemper is very well built.. much much better so than the Axe. Having said that these are computers and they are reliant on good software to run. I got mine with a pre-release version firmware which had...
It uses dynamic convolution which is not a modeler at all in any sense. The special bits in the Kemper are the algorithmic routines Cristoph Kemper created to convolve the guitar input signal to the thing you hear. This technology is absolutely not new but IS new as applied to the guitar amp...
Yes when you profile you capture the speaker, the cab, and the mic and mic preamp tone all in one. If you want to remove (most) of the cab/speaker effect there an option on the monitor outs to disable them. This enhancment was done recently so people could more realistically play through real...
Hey thanks for checkin that clip out fellas. It was truely nothing special. Just the stock JMP 77 Profile with my guitar straight in. I think I cranked the gain up a little because why not but man.. It was just a few second process to hit record on my DAW, sounds perfect. I like the way it...
Do it. The Kemper is everything people wish the Axe was but isn't. It is the game changer people are waiting for.
