Thats a tough one Gene MY EG 3/4 is a touch too dark (till I do the cap mod) The Soldano SP77 I had was too bright and didnt inspire me so much Probably dark amp brightened up rather than the toppy one turned down

Love it - that is my philosophy now I used to crave to own loads of different preamps Now I would rather have modules that nail the tones of those "other" amps/preamps and just use my Eggie

Won't Egnater sell empty M4s to it's loyal users then? It's so easy to end up with an amp or preamp and about a dozen modules and think "I need another M4"
