Called and he actually sounds very reasonable about sorting it out :thumbsup: things are looking back up. Understand that a lot of the delay seems to be because of a complication within the company - the guy I'm dealing with NOW is the boss, the guy I was dealing with wasn't and he apparently...

It looks ok, but it could've looked excellent and that's what I wanted with the initial finish. Can't find an email address so phone call time soon if they're open yet. Looks like my little story continues still :scared:

I've got one coming to my house today... just for a friend as he's out all day and doesn't want to have to go pick it up at some far off depot. I wonder if I'll ever buy another amp :confused:

Well apparently Wednesday is the day now. Worse customer service ever (I am not talking about Diezel to those who haven't followed the previous). Not used to such crap customer service when I've had the pleasure of dealing with guys like Diezel and Conklin :doh:

I've finally just biased my Herbert pretty perfectly/accurately but I noticed something; I'd get seemingly all the pairs perfectly within 0.5 of 60ma, then go back to the first one and check it and it would be miles out :confused: this distance shortened until I got it pretty perfect after doing...

Says 60-70 on your site but cool, I'll do it to 60 then :thumbsup:

That was it without fuse, turned on fully. Should it be 70.00 as opposed to 00.70? I has been making funny noises and being a bit weird, only played it once or twice since biasing...

Just to double check: 'Diezel's suggestions for pairwise plate biasing are (Einstein, Herbert): 5881: 50 mA 6L6: 60 to 70 mA EL34 60 to 70 mA '<<< 0.70 = correct like what it reads on the meter of mine yes?

I can bias an amp - my bro's an electrician and helped me do so. I was under the impression that where you have 3 'different' pairs of tubes that they aren't dependant on each others correspondance + Doug of Diezel UK once explained to me that you can get a really great sound out of biasing the...

That's kind of you and thus thanks :thumbsup: I am indeed aware, however, I'm replacing my EL34s with likewise thus I don't think a bias is necessary until I try something different when these blow. I've biased my amp before :yes:
