Never compared the 2x12 to the 4x12 but I had H30s in my Zilla 2x12 until Thursday when I put G12Ms in it. Personally I MUCH prefer them. The H30s are quite scooped and metal sounding IMO.

A 5150III 50w to be exact. Sounds amazing. Master isn't ever really gonna go above 5, should I be concerned? Highest it's ever been is 5 on the master but usually 3-4 tops with a clean boost in the loop for leads. Is this any different to running a 100w head into a 4x12 with greenies a la the...

Has anybody here compared this head (either the 50 or 100 watt version) with both of these speakers? I know the 4x12 comes with GBs whilst the 1 and 2x12 cabs come with G12H30s. Supposed to be a really great mix. My Zilla 2x12 has two G12H30s but I've been thinking of swapping one out for a V30. I too am using a 5150III 50w and two G12H30s just seems a bit brassy plus I want a little more midrange. Also tempted to just pull both out for two Heritage G12Ms...

Heritage speakers? The EVH 2x12 has G12H30s, the 70th Anniversary version. The 4x12 has the G12EVHs, basically the heritage G12M. I have a Zilla Super Fatboy with two G12H30s with my 50w EVH, sounds huge!

Just got in from the gig. Great sounding cab. An absolute shit-ton more low end than the Egnater 112X I was using it with previously. Resonance and bass dialled way back now from where they were. Overall, I'm very happy. It sounds super huge, super fat. Definitely an impressive sounding box...

Thanks guys. G12H30s in there. Sounds great but it's hard to tell exactly how it sounds at home volumes. Gig tonight will reveal all!
