So my issue isn't noise levels but actually inconsistent voltage.
The circuit all my gear is on is pretty crowded and averages only like 110v with swings down to 105v.
So the regulator helps keep it at 120v that amps are designed for.
I have all my amps on a voltage regulator, so they should be good. I'm not really sure how the amp switcher impacts things but I assume it's making only a single amp visible to the guitar signal at one time? The unused amps should just be seeing the switcher's load.
Given the issue occurs only...
I'm having noise issues with my rig that I'm pretty sure is a ground loop, but can't find a good solution for. Problem resolves itself completely when I stop using the 4 Cable Method, so the issue obviously resides in that (either my EQ or my noise gate...or both).
Squeals...
They focus on recovered wood if I remember correctly (I'm in the NYC area and have poked a head in before). So, closer to an art piece than something chosen for its tonal properties.
https://petilloguitars.com/ does something similar, though more focused on the art part than the wood. Actually...
I think about doing this A LOT; like to the point I've considered building one myself because I've read so much about the different options and techniques.
Definitely terrified of finding out the reason no one makes the guitar I want is because it doesn't sound good and then I'm out like $5k...
Not in production but keep an eye out for an RJM Y-Not. I use it to A/B the two channels on my Fender Showman clone.
Depending upon your use case you could potentially use a One Control Midi Looper (OC-M-SSL-JS) to do a makeshift A/B.
I managed to find a 10% off coupon + no taxes on a Black Lion Audio PG-2R through Perfect Circuit.
It was backordered for like a month but got it for $1079 total.
Got any links to recommend for building my own cables?
I just picked up soldering recently so down to try making my own, but too lazy to research the top cables/connectors/tester/etc
I definitely notice a difference between some of my cables, but I've got too much shit wired up in my rig to warrant upgrading everything so eventually got used to it (and really just turned up my presence knobs).
