My "wet" cab (DSL 40CR) is not 100% wet. I like equal amount of dry signal coming out of each cab dry /wet, just one has the added effect(s). Is that wrong? should the DSL bet set 100% wet? I occasionally use an EQ for solo boost also in the line out.

I was expecting more of a boost I guess. It did color the sound a little though, but it wasn't "magic".

Coolness. Thanks. I will give that a try. It's a balancing act because I have a hard time knowing if I have enough signal feeding the reverb. How can I tell if I'm overloading the reverb pedal with the Bray signal? I have the level on the reverb at about 9 oclock and sounds pretty good...

I wish they were still the hard rock heavy metal band they used to be. Their mascot, Eddie, doesn't even fit with their style of music anymore. LOL.

I tried a quad of new matched Winged Cs many years ago, 2009 maybe? in my old Superlead and they sucked so bad. Horrible tone. bad quad of tubes? Perhaps. I put JJ 6CA7s in and they sounded way better. As a matter of fact, they're the best sounding tubes for my amp.

Cool video for marketing pickups for sure! For VH tones I just adjust my EQ pedal. Done. Doesn't matter what pickup I have as they all have enough output, especially for the older VH stuff done with his Plexi.

For me, I can't really tell any difference between using vintage Mustards, Orange Drop or Xicon types in my old marshall. I used all three in the past for repairs and mods & they all sound the same to me in my amp.

I just recently switched from those to Ernie Ball. I notice the same things too!
