You know, I never have gotten on with a Friedman actual amp either. Oddly I haven’t loved any soldano I’ve played…I saw the opeth rig rundown and love their tone though. I’ve heard rumors of an updated module though so I’ve been treading water.

Thanks. It is indeed a great well-rounded amp and I very much enjoy it. From my limited experience probably the VHT with the most mainstream options/appeal. I’m just on to other things now.

Can you go the other direction and play the other type of modules in the Synergy stuff?

I’ve been eyeing one of these 3534s for awhile now . . . I assume you’re pretty happy with it? I played a buddy’s full-size briefly and it sounded good but I wasn’t blown away. I have a VH4 which I personally liked better.

That’s good info. Most of what I’ve heard is that the 2/50 or 2/90 just have that oomph. I was wanting an attenuator too and I heard the PS is great at that so was hoping to avoid buying both…but it seems my fate has been sealed.

how does it do at attenuating? i've only ever tried an OxBox and was VERY underwhelmed. same effect as putting a blanket over the cab
