I have a bunch of MIJ LP's and a few Gibson's as well. I have also had one just like that and it was a great playing guitar...about 9.5 lbs if I remember and had a great unplugged sound. I think it was one of the first MIK ones as mine had some MIJ signs too so it was hard to tell but it...
Moneypenny is a British inspired amp from the mid/late 60's and named after the famous secretary of “M” in the Bond movies.
The Gain I channel is a Vox-ish type of channel with beautiful warm cleans with sparkly highs and some nice headroom. Great for adding a fuzz but can break up if the gain...
Very cool clip...love hearing the amp in the mix. I did that same mod for my lead guitar player and he can't stop playing it. Thanks for doing that and for the support!!!
Brian
The Destroyer is ready for battle, but I have some other commitments I need to complete first. I hope to have a run through by the end of the month with some clips as well.
Thanks,
Brian
Thanks for the kind words...very much appreciated. This mod is similar to the one I did for Jerome Allen (Jerry) but I re-voiced it to be a bit more in the area of some early Lynch but with few tweaks screamindemon (Brian) wanted. Brian is a super guy to work with and we are talking about...
I'll get you the list after the holiday. I'm working on a new website that will have a bit more detail on this and other tech stuff.
Thanks and Happy Holidays!
Brian
I truly appreciate all the kind words and am proud of the work I do for you guys. I'm going to be taking the Destroyer out for a spin right after the holidays and will have some clips and more info on it. The 50 watt amp in that clip has no extra tubes and is a mix of a Marshall and Soldano...
I just got the new head shell yesterday and am getting some logos made. I'm auditioning some different power tubes to see which I like the best at some different bias settings as well and testing with several guitar/cab combinations. I hope to have it ready for a demo up in Portland in a week...
Not any exact mod...I wanted to put out something a bit different but still in a style that's what I like...I didn't stray too far from the types of tones I like. I did design the layout to be versatile so I can use the design for other amps as well in the future to easily tweak or build new...
Thanks for the compliments. I will have clips in the next few weeks...just waiting for a vendor to ship a few parts so I can finish it completely and get it burned in. I'm working on a final price and just waiting on some quotes so I will have that soon as well. I'm finalizing the head shell...
BFG Destroyer 100 Watt Guitar Amplifier
3 channels Clean, Rhythm, Lead
Channel 1 is a Clean and does nice shimmering warm tones to gritty blues.
Bright switch has 2 modes, center off.
Channel 2 is a hard rocking rhythm channel that is reminiscent of a classic modded Marshall. It can go from...
Spray some contact cleaner on the FS jack and run it in and out while the amp is off. I've had this happen on a few of these amps and this usually does the trick.
Maybe you should change the name of your title to "Granger Ultimate Loop" since that is what they call theirs. The Metro loop is called the "Zero Loss" and I have installed a ton with zero issues. That sucks you had bad luck after drilling the holes...I had looked into that loop but I'm happy...
You're counting on someone using the same guitar/speaker setup you have? There are too many variables with cab/speaker/pickup combinations, potential customers are asking for it...seems like a simple fix.
