CASTERS: Easy on the back...but hard on the ears.

That's what I'll be doing when I start gigging again.

    Sometimes I feel so alone...

I don't really like Les Pauls and I don't like 80s hair metal guitars, (Even though I own one from the 80s) I do like the new(er) Charvels though, might buy a SoCal.

    Funny audition stories?

I asked a guy if I could audition. Later that day he phoned me when I was playing guitar, played a bit for him and he asked me to join. 1 practice, waste of time, the guy was an idiot.

NGD: Decibel dB1 Figured Mahogany Javelin!!

Awesome guitar. That neck/fretboard figure is one of the nicest I've ever seen.

Black star HT5 vs BFG modded Jet City 20

I rate the stock Jet City over the Blackstar. I might pick up a local used HT-5 soon though for £190 - hardly used.

Gear you wish that still existed or would be reissued

    A valid point.

Which reverb? Hall Of Fame vs RV-X vs Holy Grail

I did look at the Marshall reverb, I would definitely have picked one up since they're so cheap and I won't be using reverb that much. Unfortunately they don't work with high dB loops. =/ Similarly, I would've picked up a used Boss Reverb/Delay, so I could have two types of delay at the same...

Which reverb? Hall Of Fame vs RV-X vs Holy Grail

You always seem to give me good advice on pedals. Funnily enough, I was going to mention the Cathedral reverb by EHX because I watched the demo for the HoF and I really love the Church setting. Surprisingly, the Hardwire is more expensive than the HoF. I wonder if I could pick up a HoF used...

Which reverb? Hall Of Fame vs RV-X vs Holy Grail

So guys, Thanks for the responses. I think I've narrowed it down to the Hardwire and the Hof reverbs. They're both pretty much the same price, work in high dB loops and are both very versetile and work in stereo (which I wouldn't use). Is the Hardwire true bypass? IIRC it is.

Which reverb? Hall Of Fame vs RV-X vs Holy Grail

Ah.. in that case I'll be avoiding that. Annoyingly it's the cheapest of the ones I'm considering.

Which reverb? Hall Of Fame vs RV-X vs Holy Grail

All the Strymon stuff looks fantastic, it sells itself! Unfortunately, £250 is out of budget for me. It is compatible with high dB loops, as are the TC HoF/Nova and Hardwire reverbs. Not Boss though. That being said, I think reverb is something that'll be on my board whatever style of music...

I was thinking Peavey Ultra+

Which reverb? Hall Of Fame vs RV-X vs Holy Grail

Looking to buy a reverb soon. It needs to work in the loop of my Jet City first of all. I know the HoF and HG will work. The Holy Grail sounds really lush and organic, but seems to lack versatility. I really like my TC Flashback so I'm tempted to just go for the HoF, seeing as it's the same...

This. The song's awesome man. I love stuff like this. In fact I enjoy it more than metal.

My cousin Sean. My father my old guitar teacher. No popular musician can take that spot.

    Peavey 5150 vs. Blackstar HT100

I had quite an in-depth look at the Ht100 and I owned a 5150 II for 18 months. Although I think the 5150 is a better amp, the HT100 is much more versatile and would suit a covers band much better than the Peavey would. The only thing about the Blackstar that I don't like is that it just...

    My new avatar RULES!

That's weird, I have a magazine that I bought a couple years ago with this exact ad in it.  Must've been an old issue.

    NPD. MXR Classic Overdrive.

Nice! I don't think I can get these in England. There's the MXR GT-OD in green but I can't find anywhere about the switch to change circuits. I'd actually be happy to pay someone to ship me over one of those if they're £40! The green ones are about £85 in England!
