I agree, I love the thinner necks that came on many norlin era customs. As much as guys bit vh about norlin era qc , I still think it was better then the production non custom shop stuff Gibson puts out today.

True, but it can't be argued that making a bolt on neck guitar isn't easier/less man hours to produce then a set neck or neck through guitar, which adds to the naysayers hype argument.

A Marshall valvestate can be picked up dirt cheap and can sound nice from the gate as a plug and play amp great for gigs.

The closest I have heard is with a super distortion. Listen to rockstahs and Pete thorns clips using one.

The first clip posted of the morin seems to have a metallic tone to it, although I wonder if it sounded that way in the room? Also, the fortin and the Cameron mod sounded quite similar to me.

U might be able to find a used fargen olde 800 for that if you look around. Ceriatone also makes an 800 clone for a decent price and its handwired also. Also, any plexi clone amp like a germino or a metro amp can easily switched to 2203/2204 spec as it's only like 3 components and 1 wire to...
