its probably one of the many things they mentioned that they 'have in the works' LOL!
I'm planning on stopping by today (or tomorrow? fingers crossed it's ready lol!!) to p/u my modded BE-100...
FUKKKKK yeah.
ok, I'll let ya know.
m.
bright? no way - listen to Akira's versions...OMFG...lol!!!
could be the mic'ing or the mic pre's but Max Norman had him wayyy up in the high kHz
  my BE100 should be ready by this weekend...I'm stoked, and your Akira rhythms are awesome.
We used to play "In this world beyond" as well
Oh, and I'm also an SLO owner who's been known to throw an Xotic SL/Boss SD-1/Maxon OD808 in front of the crunch channel :yes...
before our last cover gig, I remember thinking, "damn it'd be great to have both my 5153 mini AND my M/B Express 525+ sitting on this 112..."
 Bruce, hell yeah!
I'm in.
wow Steve, that's a terrible situation especially for a guitar player. try to keep your spirits up (easier said I realize) and being positive.
best of luck and all the positive karma to you!
mike.
:cheers2: 100%

:rawk: waaaaaay too common an occurrence/ happens in our band all of the time - especially with when we play at new places and with the bartenders "as FOH" who think there's any correlation to knob tapers and the actual amp output/sound
oh, and to the point of the EVH 5150 50W and the difference in the levels....yeah it's frustrating...
If I'm in a hurry and I don't bring an amp switcher (Mesa Boogie Express 525+ for cleans and the 5153 mini for gain), and only have the 5153 mini, I'll usually go with the blue at 130 gain, and...
Not trying to take us off the OP thread topic, but I gotta jump in and support stompboxfreak72's thoughts on the 100S.
I too own/owned all of the 5153 heads (100, 50, 100S), and like SBF72 only have the 50W mini and the 100S.
IMHO "blue channel has too much gain" controversy rests with the...

fuzzy forgot to note that he's got over a dozen HRI's...from all years...Fukkk he knows his Gibsons.
oh, and yeah, he beats the shit outta them as well.
Hey Chris, if you're anything like me...and it seems like we are  ...I'll have to cry "ok" and say it'll be 6 months, tops, before we start looking around again
...either that or stay off of the gear forums!!!  :D
mike.
This^^^
it's too bad that Mosh and 7-stringer didn't feel the 100S vibe.
but I'm with ya brutha on the original 5150iii and the 100S. what i'm hearing is the darker mid and highs on the original vs the 100S. with the gain set lower, IMHO the amp seems more clearer...
OK, I gotta admit for a long time, I (too) was a DSL100 owner (2008 head).
I never quite "got" the intense love-fest for it on the Marshall forum...but whatever.
Now I'm rocking the Marshall JVM410HJS, and it's great. But so's the Soldano SLO, 5150, 5150ii, 5150iii, 5150iii 100S...blah, blah...
HOT DAMN! we've got "Diary of a Madman" and "Crazy Train" in our set list, and sometimes "I Speed at Night"...but nowhere near TRIBUTE levels.
:worship:
haha...me too...I brought out my Anderson DT7 and the Stealth for a cover gig over the weekend ....it was all disco/funk/Beatles/Adele/Pink...
