Thoughts on EQ in a loop

Source Audio EQ2 has been in my amp loop for awhile now. Once plugged into a cpu, you can dial it in like a parametric eq. Amazing difference, I feel like I can make my amps sound like anything. No eq in front as I I select my pickups and use a clean OD for essentially the same...

EVH 5150-III 6L6 and Wolfgang for the win

There's 3 guitar players in that Mammoth band, live, they each play a version of the 50w (original, 34, Stealth)

Wolfgang VH playing On Fire and Hot For Teacher

Wolf killed it but no surprise. He sounds great on everything he has released to this point. Dude has it all

Floyd Rose releases Stone Tone granite block

Great connection! Loomis is probably my favorite guitar player. I love Nevermore! The Arch Enemy stuff is good, but he plays too much of a backseat role there. Not sure how many people realize he just released a disc with Alcatrazz last year which has some jaw dropping guitar moments.

Anyone here from the early days ??

I joined Sep 4, 2008 At that time, I was all over the Randall MTS module forum and then found this place through the Egnater sub forum. Back then, there were so many Egnater module players, it was awesome. <<<<My profile pic is from 2013, that baby is 9 1/2 now

    Metallica getting canceled

Even though Metallica is canceled, I still hear that piercing wah and a distant yea-ah ringing in my ears. How do we cancel that

    Favorite Synergy Modules ??

This week the SLO module is my goto. With a clean od boost, it sounds damn near perfect in a mix

    Randall and Synergy?

fyi all of the synergy will work except for the Herbert They are all limited to a single channel and the input cap on synergy would not function. That being said, if I had a Randall mts head, I would totally grab a SLO or mkii

    Dan has passed

oh no, I am so sad to see this. Dan has been an online buddy for like 15 years, going back to his infamous Mailman modded module on Randall MTS forums. Dude had a great attitude about life and always brought the smiles. I'll miss his Sat Night jam clips and all of his posts here. Damn. Deep...

    Floyd Rose Rail Tail Feedback

Agreed, this guitar was never looked at and it needs the pro set up. Now I am inspired lol I have a guy who used to work on Vai and EVH's guitars on the sunset strip so let's see what this feels like after his fairy dust is applied

    Floyd Rose Rail Tail Feedback

I have the Rail Tail on a 90s Mexican Strat (also upgraded to Kirk EMGs and locking tuners) The Rail Tail has a lot of cool things about it. It's generally great for tuning stability, but if I get real aggressive crazy it goes out...likely needs a pro to cut the nut and a proper set up as I...

    New Fortin TS808

Ooops, I have and was talking about the Fortin TS9, not the recent Fortin 808. A tubescreamer mixup on my part. Chances are, the review would be the same anyway lol

    New Fortin TS808

I've had the Fortin Ibby TS for more than a few weeks now. Killer pedal. Lots of volume boost if needed. It sounds sharper and has a faster attack than my MXR badass od, not quite as sharp as my 808x or my memory of Grind (which can be a good thing). Sounds amazing as a clean boost for detuned...

Sell your mark IIC+: the black album was a mark 3.

get me up to speed- do I need to drag my bbe sonic maximizer back out? I moved 3 three times in the last 15 years and I found that the maximizer sounds best in an unmarked box in the garage. I haven't used it in my guitar chain since the early 90s

    Todd, Bishop5150

Ow wow, so sad to see this. I always enjoyed his posts and clips. I moved to the Texas area and one of the first things I did was look up dates of his band gigs hoping to catch a show. I usually would never do that for a cover/tribute band, but he played that material so well and seemed like a...

    ProAudioStar..any good?

I ordered a bunch of times from them with no issue. They do have a limited return policy- 15 days? I think some people get upset when they try to return after that period or sometimes order something but then it is out of stock/backordered
