    Finally trying Synergy

Yeah some amps have more sauce on the power amp side. Ignoring that is a mistake with some amps. Some can get away with it, others is always going to feel like something is missing. I think I'm going to grab a 6505 module this week since I just sold my 6505. Or possibly an 800 module. I...

Yeah I could be wrong but filtering also has an effect on how polished it sounds. Personally the JCM51 and 52 seems like an awesome idea for everyone except Ceriatone sales. Like now I would just need the 51 vs 2 full amps

I love the PS1 but yeah probably not the best for this application.

    Finally trying Synergy

I just sold my FM3 and I was planning on getting an fm9 with the cash(plus some out of pocket of course). The modelers and profilers are really fucking good but I have to admit there is a little bit of excitement from analog that's missing. I still plan on getting another fractal. The reason...

I've never played a Cameron. And even if he started a new company building amps and was consistent I still wouldn't buy one no matter how cheap they are. Having said that I agree with what Nik had said in his description it's a bit dark and smooth but well balanced. I preferred mine with a...

What did you use for the power section? I'm using a KSR PA50 and the NFB control seems to always be the final touch when trying to dial in a modeler(haven't tried it with the synergy yet)

Yeah for me personally playing the synergy module feels and sounds like my Mark IV. And I've said this a few times but I honestly think it sounds closer than the JP2C or Mark VII. But yeah those sliders can really change the tone with a slight nudge

    Finally trying Synergy

I sold 2 mark IV's over the past 2/3 years and have been regretting it. I feel like the Fractal does justice to the Mark Series but plugging in the IICP module it really felt like "yeah there it is!!" If that makes sense?... I've never played a 2 c+ or mark III but this module is doing what I...

    Finally trying Synergy

The Orange AD200B sounds really interesting. I also saw where there is an "Ampig" module that sounds really great in the demos. I have a Hartke LH500 that sounds great for thrash tones but I would rather just swap out a module and just use one device for recording

I didn't think about the B-Man for Bass(for some reason). These days I find myself playing bass a lot so I need to check that one out too. Also thanks for the used recommendation. For some reason I was a bit sketched out on getting used.

I thought about the Be Deluxe but one thing I don't like about Friedman is that they are a bit too polished for my taste. Does it have that characteristics? Surprisingly I got a really good crunch tone with the IICP. So I'm definitely putting powerball and uberschall on my list. I had the H90...

    Finally trying Synergy

Hey guys, I've been using an FM3 for the past 6 months and I sold it with the thoughts of getting an FM9. A few days later I decided to try the synergy stuff instead so I got the Syn1 and the IICP module and holy hell I am enjoying it. Imho it sounds better than the current Mesa offerings...

Vintage TS9 and TS808 vs. Modern Variants

Plain Jane green boxes the Maxon OD808 is my favorite. I have an Ibanez tube screamer that's collecting dust that I need to plug in soon. I bought it a few months ago and have been using an FM3 since. I have a synergy system coming tomorrow so looking forward to trying it out since it's been a...

I agree. I would actually use a clean boost or a little bit of dirt from an SD1 or klon type pedal without the amps clippers

The Molecular isn't super high gain like most hot rodded Marshall's. It's almost like a splawn on gear 2 or the BE on a Friedman. To me the Molecular was like an idealized JCM800

Welp, I bought the HX Stomp

HX stomp does sound nice. The effects are really the best part imho. Some of the amp models are weird. Like they don't really sound like their respective amp at similar settings. I prefer the Fractal stuff then Line 6, QC and finally Kemper. I actually have the native client which I got for...

It's loud enough for drummers at 50 watts no matter where the diodes are set. You could also add another volume pot to compensate for the volume drop due to clippers. Hell Nik would probably do this for an extra 50

    NGD Again…….

I still think you should turn this into a side business. Source some Japanese Single Cuts, install tone nerd pickups and tack on an additional couple hundo finders fee.

Marshall 1936V vs Mesa Rectifier Horizontal 2x12

I absolutely love the 1936V. It's not even a question which I would choose between those 2.

Get the Molecular. You can make some adjustments if you so choose. But the Yeti, Chupa, Molecular are relatively similar. I've never tried the Gargoyle but I passed on it after trying the Nameless. The JCM51 and JCM52 look really appealing in my opinion. Also, Bubbastain just sounds good. He...
