Hey guys,
I don't know about you, but I can talk about gear all day, , and so I made a discord chat server for gear discussion. I figured it would be a cool place to hang out and talk about all things gear.
Here is the discord invite link: https://discord.gg/wVP6v3G (LINK HAS BEEN...
Bump: Would it be possible to pair my 212 and 412 cabs together with say...two tube amps and a selector? I'm curious as to what combinations I can pull off with two different sized cabinets.
Please excuse me if this was already mentioned, but what amp did you previously play? I got a VH4 but didn't really play it all that much due to volume issues in my apartment, but I definitely noticed it sounded good. A few months later, I started getting more and more obsessed with guitar gear...
I use the eurotubes pro one for Channel 1, and I use the TAD bias probe for the other channels (since I just have it lying around), works wonders. I get a the voltage and current. Only issue is i'm not going to have enough probes for my Herbert when I get it :/
I appreciate the input guys. Pardon my ignorance, but i'm a little confused as to what a buffer actually is. Is it a type of pedal, or do you mean using a pedal as a buffer?
Hey guys,
I currently have an FL Diezel 212 cab with V30's, and I just ordered a FL 412 Diezel with V30's as well and two K100's to try. I was looking for some creative ideas for any possible combinations of two different sized cabinets. I already plan on trying an X pattern in my 412, but i'm...
Hey guys,
I'm noticing that when I put my MXR 10 band EQ pedal in my serial effects loop of my VH4, there is a noticeable volume drop. Moreover, when I turn the pedal on, the volume jumps quite a bit, even with the gain and volume on the pedal set to 0. I thought i'd add that I have my pedal...
I went ahead and followed your advice and got the EWS subtle volume control and put it in my effects loop, cranked the MV to 10, put the CV at 11- sounds way better. It brings out more ferociousness. My VH4 tone sounds like the thunderous cries of a mythical beast. This is in a 2x12 FL Diezel...
Hehe Mr. Diezel, that is indeed the most rational solution to my problem. Perhaps I should sharpen my own soldering skillset to take that one extra step out of the equation :D
Hey guys,
I currently have a 2x12 FL Diezel cabinet with V30's, and I just purchased a K100 to see how it sounds mixed with a V30. I might even buy a second one if i'm pleased. I was curious if there was a way to use a wiring harness instead of having to solder.
The last time I tried...
I have the Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG+ 678 in V1 V2, and i'm still waiting on my shipment of the rest of the AC5's for the rest. In the meantime, I have TAD 12AX7's in V3-V7
Thanks for the input. I guess that leaves the possibility that the reviews of the Herbert being too loose could indeed have been about the mkii. Hopefully the mkii is more tighter. I like a more tighter percussive tone.
Hey guys,
I've been digging my VH4. However, the one bad thing about it is it makes me wonder how that Diezel magic would sound with a more darker, less mid focused type of sound. In that regard, i've been seriously GAS'ing for a Herbert mkii.
My question is: I've been doing a lot of research...
