Can anyone refer me to a good amp repair shop in the L.A. area?

I've got the same EXACT guitar and I love it. It's not chambered so it's a little heavy.... but it plays and sounds amazing with Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings. I took the pickguard off though and I think it looks even better. I also play it through a JetCity head! Cheers!

I've got a HOFR on my board. absolutely love it. Can't beat it for the price. It's compact but powerful. I def recommend it. It's my "Always on" pedal.
