I love Trower, but insulting one player in order to compliment another doesn't make sense to me. I don't particularly dig what Yngwie does, and I think he can play a lot better than he did on That Metal Show (sorry to the OP, he has gotten a bit sloppy) , but it doesn't mean it is any less...

Engines of Creation was the last Satriani I loved. That's probably my favorite album of all time. He used to take chances. I think that album underperformed, and he has played it safe ever since.

Amazing player, super nice guy. My band had the privilege of backing him up for a clinic here a few years ago, and he was so awesome. Really funny stories. His phrasing is so recognizable. Here is a video from our rehearsal about an hour before the clinic started. 7-f41a8oDsM

It's been a few years since I've tried the EVH phase 90, but I hated it when I tried it. I liked the Non-led Script Phase 90 I tried. I currently use a Homebrew Psilocybe, which sounds great, but I'll probably be getting something smaller in the future.

I'm pretty happy with my THD cabs as is. I'm not really a Vintage 30 fan. I had a few cabs before getting the THD stuff, and I was never crazy about them. I also have a Vintage 30 in my Orange combo, but I prefer to use it with an extension cab that doesn't have V30s.

Steve is one of my favorites. I have mixed feelings about him being in Purple. I am sure it gives him financial security, and I really enjoyed their set when I saw them a few years back, because Steve was so amazing. I'm not really into what Deep Purple is all about, as far as the songs go. I do...
