    EVH, I don't get it...

That is such an awesome album.

    overrated gear :D

Same here. I have a Fender Strat, and it's nothing like my Anderson. I was nervous about dropping so much money on one guitar, but I have hardly played anything else since I got it.

    Evh art series Charvel

I played that one for a bit a few months back. It's a great guitar, you will just need to change the strings and adjust the action to your tastes. I would have jumped on it if that guitar had a contour for the right arm.

If you think the price difference is warranted, then that's cool. I guess it just wasn't my thing. BYTOR- I know that American Music in Fremont (NOT Bellevue) at least has a Gold and a Black San Dimas (the Tele style) left. I was in there yesterday, but didn't notice specifically what they had...

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice guitar. But for the money you are talking you could get a used Anderson or Suhr, which I would prefer. That's about what I paid for my Hollow Drop Top. I mention the 500-600 price range, because that's what I could get a San Dimas or So-Cal for around here. A...

A music store I used to work at had one for a while. I liked it, but thought the price was an absolute ripoff. I would buy one if they went for 500-600 dollars. I felt it was just a better than average guitar. It was a black and white model. I had a really tough time getting used to just one pickup.

    Surviving Eddie

Bummer to read how bad Eddie had fallen. I hope he really has cleaned up. I also hope the surgery he had on his hands helps his playing. I like Sammy a lot as a person, and I think he is a legendary singer, even if I don't like a lot of the tunes he sang on. I don't really think that Sammy's...

    Steve Vai Live Guitar Lesson-NOW

Eh. It benefited someone. Just about every question could have been answered with either "Google it" or "I already explained that". He did pretty well, but it infuriates me whenever he recommends not working on your weaknesses. I know he thinks it sounds deep, but it's literally the worst...

    Stacking boosts

I like the RC, but I haven't used it in a while. I've been using a Keeley Compressor more frequently for my cleans, or just turning down my mid gain sound with the volume knob. I may get a bigger pedal train this year, and then the RC will probably make it's way back to the board.

    Stacking boosts

I love stacking pedals. I use either the AC booster with a H.B.E Full Metal Jacket, or a Wampler Super Plextortion with a Maxon OD9. I even like combing my Octafuzz with overdrives. Makes the octave effect leap out a bit more, less abrasive on the high frequencies.

UK vs. Chinese Vintage 30 comparison clip

I prefer the first one. Not really a huge Vintage 30 fan, but your clip sounded pretty decent.

    Petrucci's best lead tone.

Petrucci has always been a super nice guy. Talked to him for a bit on the Metropolis tour, he was super humble.

    Petrucci's best lead tone.

Awake and Six Degrees have some great tones.

tom anderson drop top or Prs custom 24 limted edition namm

I rarely play anything else since I got my Hollow Drop Top. I would choose an Anderson over anything out there, any day of the week. I can't really say specific things that I prefer over a PRS in particular, I just like everything that an Anderson does. I'm not a PRS fan myself, but they...

    Little Steve Morse anyone

Morse is one of my biggest influences. His vibrato is hit and miss, but when he is really on fire his vibrato is sick. I have heard great tones, and not so great tones from him. I strongly dislike his Engl tone, but I can see why some people would like it. I liked his Silver Jubilee tone.

    Nuno Bettencourt 1991 clinic

Nuno is great, but more players should use their tone knobs.

He used to go the Westin all the time in Maui when my dad worked there. He never tipped anyone. :D
