I think BNW, DOD, and AMOLAD are all killer albums. I didn't like Dance Of Death at first, but now it's one of my favorites. That's also my favorite guitar tone they've ever had as well.

I don't even consider C standard that low of a tuning. It never sounds mushy at all to me, unless maybe you're using 9-42's. :lol: :LOL:

I remember reading an interview with Bill Steer of Carcass and he said C# was the perfect tuning in his opinion. Carcass never used it though. Maybe his stoner rock/metal band Firebird did?

Most metalcore bands seem to use Drop C.

Pretty sure a lot of Dark Tranquillity songs are in C# from what I remember.

Looks sweet Tommy. If that's a stock BH-IIR, it's not a terrible pickup. I think the PH-R sounds better, but both are nice IMO. The new Custom Line Horus and Dellinger models and the TAT Specials are the best looking guitars they've ever made IMO. I can't wait to see some more pics of them when...

I love old Maiden as much as the next guy, but I think every album since Brave New World has been amazing. BNW is actually my favorite album of theirs. I really like their new stuff. I have no doubts this will be a cool album. :rock:

I'll one up you on that one. I called my local GC a few years ago for something and they didn't know what a 5150 was.

Hard to say IMO. I like Guthrie's solo album more than any of Petrucci's by far, but Petrucci wrote song amazing songs back in the day with Dream Theater. And I never liked Buckethead at all either. Don't find his playing interesting at all.

DSL without a doubt. I've owned one of both and the SL-X sounded like shit IMO. The DSL with a boost is one of my favorite amps.
