Can anyone tell me if the Schmidt is any good for low volume late night practice, given no master volume? Sort of GAS'ing a Schmidt and I need to play one before deciding, but would welcome your views on how the amp performs at low volume. Or should I look for a Diezel with MV? Thanks.

Okay for all the usual reasons I moved to digital of downsizing my rig and amps, a move to a smaller house, need for low volume practice and need to use headphones etc... Well the honeymoon period is over and digital just ain't working for me and even with tone matching, I just spend too much...

What wou,d you do if you did both... from home studio to gig? :) I know a guy who no longer gigs and plays his Herbert at home.

I'm sort of suspect there will no tonal difference between the two amps apart form what you mentioned i.e. the earlier break-up/saturation at lower volumes. I was just curious ;-)

Just a very quick question - is the only difference between the 50 and 100 head the extra headroom the 100 offers over the 50 or are there any tonal differences between the two?
