    GAS for the Herbert.... but

Ahhh I don't have your discipline   I know what you are saying about turning it down, but its so difficult when the amp 'sings' at higher volumes.

    GAS for the Herbert.... but

Hi, I'm a very, very happy Einstein combo owner and have been for almost 5 months... love the tones, so impressed with how responsive and flexible this amp is. However, I've just had a half day with a borrowed Herbert - played it at a jam/rehearsal and boy I'm just blown away at the way the...

Where do you buy your valves (UK)

Hi, All you guys that are into changing tubes, where do you buy them in the UK or Europe. I want to experiment with some NOS tubes in thee V1 and the V3.

    Einstein for me?

This is really good to know. I played the Einstein with my Start HSS with Nailbomb bridge and Trilogy Suite mid and neck coils and found some great tones with only a short play. Even more amazing is that someone other than me still plays Saxon stuff

    Einstein for me?

Okay - just a very quick question... can I dial the Einstein to get a Keith Richard Brown Sugar tone?

    Einstein for me?

Yep with the EL34 and although the amp is expensive (well it is for me) I see it as an investment. I'm happy with what the Eistein can do at home/practice levels and that is important to me. I don't want to be changing amps and always searching for 'that' tone. I'll hang onto me set of pedals...

    Einstein for me?

Okay I've decided to go for the Einstein... can ask your views on which pair of power tubes I should pick given I want to go from clean, cleans, dirty blues - to higher gain metal?

    Einstein for me?

Hi, can you explain to me in really simple terms how you use the G-majors - it would be really helpful.

    Einstein for me?

Spent about an hour with the Einstein - it really is one amazing amp. I've no need for OD/distortion pedals with this amp. It can also play at low/moderate levels - so very happy. Only problem is I cannot get a delivery date that is less than 3 months! Ouch! I'm not sure I can wait that...

    Einstein for me?

But as you guys seem to be saying.... the chances are I will get the tones I like without pedals and if I need any delay etc... I just use them through the FX loop. Anyone got any links the Eistein playing some modern metal such as Children of Bodom?

    Einstein for me?

You've nailed exactly what I'm looking for in an amp... Thanks for all the replies especially alerting me to the use of pedals. So anyone wanna buy my Sweet Honey Drive   Oh... just a quick question will the Einstein be okay with my Fuzz and delay pedals?

    Einstein for me?

I'm more than happy to run an amp at low to moderate levels at home with some nice overdrive/distortion/fuzz up front. So am I dropping the idea of Framus?

    Einstein for me?

I'm likely to go for the 50 combo if all works out.

    Einstein for me?

What about an attenuator - I only need low volume for practice at home.

    Einstein for me?

Well I have another session with the Einstein on Tuesday - I'll have a little more time to play it on Tues. Its just a shame I cannot get to play the Schmidt. Sort of like a side question about the Einstein - how does it play at practicing/bedroom levels?

    Einstein for me?

I've tried the Einstein and the Framus... and liked both. I do think the Einstein is a much more flexible amp. I've not found a Schmidt to try, yet :aww:

    Einstein for me?

Hi, First post... so hi! I need some advice. After a few months of trying out amps I have a short list of 2. As I'm posting in the Diezel forum you'd be right in guessing one is the Einstein combo and the other is a Framus Ruby Riot 1. I play mainly Texas style 'dirty' blues/rock with...
