Started playing guitar in 1983 at the age of 13. I bought my first guitar (Gibson Melody Maker) and a Peavey Butcher half stack with the matching cab. I went big! Took me two years of mowing 6 lawns per week to save up for it.
I knew so little about gear and how to make it sound good back then...
So sad! John was so important to my early playing. 1987 was released and I was blown away when it was released. I loved Slide it In but when I bought the cassette and listened to the first 30 seconds of Still of the Night I was just surprised. It was like the reigns were removed for this album...
Interesting. I swear I've read in terviews that Dreaming was a Recto. Oh well, my bad. I know Politics was recorded with a Mark series amp (I believe a IV).
My absolute favorite Recto tone on an album release...Testament - The Gathering. What a great album!!! I believe they used a Triple Recto. Sounds massive! I love this tune in particular. That kick drum pattern during the verses is amazing!
According to Adam and Joel...here is a quote from an interview when asked about what was used for As Daylight Dies. I am sure they added in some 5150 or something else. I thought I read that Adam likes to mix and layer amps.

I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks for the heads up!
I have been using ML Soundlab's Amped Triple Rev G with great results. Always looking to try something new.

Owned a 20th Anniversary Ecstasy w/ 6L6s. It's one of my favorite amps ever. It is extremely versatile, very usable gain at high levels and the Bogner chew.
