I saw them earlier this year on the Pornografitti 25th tour...one of the best shows I've seen. The whole band was great but Nuno is a beast.
One of my all time favorites.
Starting with a modern pro or standard pro is a good plan.
I've had several suhrs and still have a custom standard and modern satin. To me, finding the neck carve you like is the biggest variable.
I have Marsha #35 and it still does it for me...only GAS I've had is for a NMV plexi (just to try it) and a newer BE100 to see if it's that different.
I don't get the dark comments, because I think it can get stupid bright if you crank the mids and treble, but maybe cause mine is older.
I only...
I've been using an Aiken gold brick and really like it...we setup and run our own sound so it's helped make it easier and more consistent.
I still have a cab though...
I'm still pretty happy with my Amplifire, especially for the cost...not a lot of bells and whistles but the tone and feel are great.
I gigged it once and everybody in the crowd said it sounded great. Still prefer my amp live though...
Stryper rocks!
The singer in our band is a huge fan and Michael Sweet is one of his biggest vocal influences...last year he got to open the Stryper show near his home town (performing solo acoustic) and then sang "To Hell With a The a Devil" with them for the encore. A dream come true for...
Love my HSH natural satin...i have the 510 as I just don't like to deal with a Floyd anymore and it sounds great.
I noticed the 510 on my satin definitely has a smaller block than my other suhrs, but it still has great tone sustain.
Really really great guitars and it's becoming my number one...
Just had the first gig with my new modern satin last night...ended up using it most of the night since its so versatile (and wanted to stay in tune better than my dgt). Mines HSH with the Gotoh.
I've owned several pro and custom suhrs and this satin is one of my favorites. As others have...
I saw them last tour and it was awesome...Ed, Wolfie and Alex were really tight.
Vocals not so much but I don't listen to the words anyway...
Yeah, I had signed up for the waiting list ages ago...to be honest, I had forgotten about it until I got the purchase email.
Luckily I had just sold a guitar and had some play money in the gear fund.
Really impressed so far!
Just unboxed it yesterday and have been playing with the boosted plexi and 800 models and it sounds great and is fun to play.
I'm running it through a CLR wedge I picked up awhile ago, that until this point I've been pretty meh on (but just using it as a standard...
I've had several McCarty's, a swamp ash special and now a dgt...the dgt is my favorite by far.
Mines plain black with moons and I like it better than my old 10 tops.
I use a Koko with my Marsha (pre-BE100 model) and it rips…I prefer it way more than the HBE channel...but I also use 8-9k hot PAF type buckers.
I really want to try a smallbox. I rarely use any of the extra switches on my Marsha and the plexi channel sounds interesting.
