Help Me Choose Speakers For This Setup...

This is a rig for small session work gigs where my Fractal just doesn't vibe. Mainly echoey, poorly acoustic treated venues. Blues, Fusion and Rock. I have Chinese V30s in currently and they are really lower-mid rangey, woofy and flubby. They lack clarity and sparkle. I put the EQ pedal in...

Strong hints that Van Halen 1 68 lead was just a slave amp and not the main amp.

I always wonder if any of this matters when we all have fucked ears from hearing loss / tinnitus. So what we all hear is different.

    Glenn Fricker Was Right!

Anyone got a list of thing's he's objectively wrong about? Seems to all just be personal insults and ad homenim. I find him too annoying to watch, but the few times I've listened, he didn't say anything outlandish.

Changed the Floyd Rose JT-580 LP to a Ghoto GE1996T-33-BK in the Jackson Pro Series DK2M Dinky

The reason I went for Gotoh was the rest of the dimensions are exact. I can't confirm but after researching it, this seemed like the easiest option. OFR looked like a bit more routing and different posts I think. Dimensions for both: https://www.axebition.com/bridge/jackson-jt-580lp...

Changed the Floyd Rose JT-580 LP to a Ghoto GE1996T-33-BK in the Jackson Pro Series DK2M Dinky

Changed the Floyd Rose JT-580 LP to a Ghotoh GE1996T-33-BK in the Jackson Pro Series DK2M Dinky. Needed a tiny bit of routing in the trem recess and different posts. Apart from that was drop-in. I've seen some discussion in forums about whether this was possible as they are almost identical...

?Opinions on the AXE-fx III in 2024?

Why I still use mine: 1. MIDI auto-patch switching 2. No pedals or cables on stage 3. Crystal clear IEM or FRFR wedge monitoring 4. Can run a tube amp and cab from the output 2 with no cab sim for moving air and feedback 5. Audience don't care 6. Reliable, consistent and instant 7. Can run...

Stacked Single Coils.. YJM Fury? Others?

I've got the Fury's and YJM pots in mine. Neck is silky and fluid, the bridge is biting and spanky. They are all wired differently so it's best to get the 3 set. The fast volume pot is a lot of fun for violining.

    Live rig: amp vs digital

I totally get it. I often miss the natural tempo sway of playing completely live. But then again, I also can't stand drummers who ramp up the speed jarringly. The "middle ground" option I used was having a single MIDI Mouse pedal on stage with a Patch UP and Patch DOWN. Then on the AxeFX just...
