Go to this page, look at guitar #4 - it's a short scale. (yes, link is safe for work)

Look where the 22nd fret is on the short scale neck - the distance from it to the pickup. Now look at the guitar pictured above it - it's a regular scale. Look...
I disagree. the 22nd fret is going to be in nearly the same spot on either neck relative to the pickup, so the harmonic or 24th fret location you're worried about is going to be incredibly close. And the 'harmonic nodes' just get closer as you go up the neck/closer to the bridge pickup. So the...
The Warmoth 24.75" necks are a replacement for 25.5" necks, so for a couple hundred bucks you could try it out. If you didn't like it, flip the neck and you're not out much $ at all. If you did like it, flip the neck you replaced. Easy peasy.

I'm totally spoiled by my Tom Anderson shorty 24.75" strats that I really don't like playing a 25.5" strat in standard tuning anymore. I've purchased a warmoth tele neck with the 24.75" scale and stainless frets and while it isn't as nice as the Andersons, it's certainly useable and much much...
Using the spdif out bypasses two sets of digital to analog conversions - the one in the Kemper, and then the one in your interface. As long as you're recording in 44.1khz, the spdif out should be the best sounding.
Thanks again for doing that clip. It's a great amp and if I say so myself, a great profile but without the chops to record and play stuff like that, it's wasted. Awesome job!
Here's a page with pics and more info on the amp, and three demos I did.

If a guitar you love is having tuning issues and you know it's not how you are putting the strings on, spend the money to have a pro replace the nut and put on locking tuners. done and done.
Regarding gloss vs the satin finish, most of the satin guitars I've had sounded better than the gloss...
it worked out great in the end because I bought Shiny Surface's 6L6 powered 20th anniversary for $2500 shipped and with footswitch. Was frustrating for a time though, that's for sure.
Ok, here's the listing on Reverb. He also has it for sale on The Gear Page. Don't think he's infected R/T yet, but give him time.

He had it for sale for $2250 on the gear page. I contacted him, after a few touch and gos we landed on a...
Steve - ever thought of selling your packing to folks who don't have one of your amps but want to ship an amp safely? Is the headshell normal marshall size?
Each string is not different, same technique for each string. It can be done on an acoustic guitar too, and if you have the correct right hand technique you can play scales with your right hand in the same spot. Try doing it with your electric guitar not plugged in, if you have to have high gain...
I go back and forth between regular picks and stainless steel ones. If you want to get your picking smoother, try a stainless steel pick, it will show any picking weakness pretty quickly. Also have some thicker picks (1mm) made of brass, they are pretty neat too. Had a couple of V-Picks...
By the way, there's a wide range of bias that will 'work' - you might want to play with your bias amount, not exceeding the tube's ability to take it of course, but just going to 70% or whatever may not be the best sounding bias to you. Then once you find where your amp sounds best, you can...
Agree with Chunktone. If you want the Brad Gillis/Vai flutter thing, go with fewer springs. Less flutter, more springs. I kinda like the flutter, the guitar I have that does it the most is a Brad Gillis Fernandes I have with a non fine tuner old school floyd. I think it works well because it...
here are the three I kept - Cu22 quilt hollowbody, McCarty Korina w/braz board, McCarty with solid Rosewood neck. Davesguitar.com has *NEW* McCarty Korinas with braz boards for $1999. Pretty much a crazy deal if you ask me. The Korinas are all really light and resonant, and in my opinion very...
+1. You'd also get more resonance/tone from this than a tremolo no. Maybe it's because my first floyd guitar was purchased back in '87, but I've never found them to be that big of a deal to set up or change strings on. Only 'bad' thing is when you lose that damned allen wrench. I keep one in my...
