i dont understand the "dull" comments on the ultex, they sound brighter to my ears.

ive been using the ultex ones myself, they seem to have more "pop" when compared next to the blacks or reds. some might prefer the more smoothness of the regular ones tho

i like mayer, he has a good feel and write good tunes, usually.
