On high gain I get mucho HISSSS....tried to find the Mod you guys did on the Voodoo database but it only displays part of the repair...not the whole MOD....anyway you can help? The serial # of my preamp is 921118411 thanks for any info... Michael

I always run direct out from my tourmaster to the board...I use my Marshall 4x12 cabs as monitors for me basically... Everyone always says the out front sound is great....I say that mics are passe...less noise and bleed from drums etc etc....

you are correct...plugged in a JJ 803s in v5...big difference for the better....more of that violin type of sustain I've been looking for thanks for the tip.

I've owned mine for about 6 months now...aside from the weight, I love it...got Doug's tubes to retube it for me and it sings....I use 2 marshall 4x12's with it and a Robin guitar with paf pro's in it....pros are great tone, has much flexibility if u want that...easy to set up and start...

Looking for a pedal that I can use on channels 3 and 4...this way I could back off on the gain level and maybe get less hiss and a more violin type of sustain....any suggestions..i'm using paf pro pickup which i really like...

When someone invents a high gain amp with the same tonal qualities as my tourmaster and absolutely no hiss at very high gain....they will make a fortune.

any way to quiet that down other than lowering gain? clean 1 and 2 are super quiet but that's not why I got this amp....

my backup is a marshall jmp-1 thru a tubeworks mosvalve power amp...it's mounted in the rach that holds my tuner and acts has a carrying case for cables etcetc....so if the eggie goes out i'm back in business in 3 minutes.

I had an old tourmaster footswitch cable (8 pins) and I got a new one also... So i cut 1 end off of each and soldered 7 wires i found in there to each other.. carefully matching red to red, black to black etc etc... now the footswitch works but weird...if i push channel 2 for instance i get...

Thanks John...I will do so....just lost a bit of patience...I am very happy with my Egnater Tourmaster head so far and have been gigging with it so If you can understand my dilema that having a footswitch (which is not generic) that works is extremely important to me.
