As long as you swap out matching pairs... it's ok to have 6 6L6's with 2 EL34's, or 2 6550's with 2 EL34's, but not 1 EL34 with 3 6L6's. FWIW, I used to run my RM100 with two EH EL34's + two SED 6L6's... thought it was truly the best of both worlds. --B

I've been working the MHG pretty hard this week... it's my favorite high-gain rhythm module because it's thicker and warmer than both the E-RECT and SL2 modules. Kinda reminds me of the H&K Triamp II I used to own... not the "American" tone, not the "British" tone, but the "German" tone. :)...

Sounds like I definitely need to check out the JJ 6V6's and TS 5881's. I'm a big fan of the Winged C 6L6's myself... pretty sure that's what I've currently got in my RM50. I don't have as strong of a preference for EL34's... tend to rotate between EH's, JJ's, and Winged C's. --B
