Wow, some good stuff around here. Here is what currently lurks about my cage/ rehearsal areas:
Rivera Knucklehead Tre Reverb
Rivera Stage IV
Soldano SLO
Ampeg VH-140C
NADY GTH-100 (Surprisingly not a bad head for a super cheap pickup, though I doubt it is 100 true watts. Can't seem to get as...
Right you are sir! I would love to know what kind of custom mods were done for his SLO, I think he used to run the SLO into a Green Matamp, through another power amp and then into a whole mess of 4x12s before Mike made him a custom job.
Now is it ultra tight, modern metal?...probably not. But...
Huh, I have had them around for 10 yrs or so, haven't had an issue and wasn't aware of that type of problem. Something worth keeping an eye on I suppose though.
Such a bummer. I was just talking about him with coworker yesterday. Had a music theory class in high school where we ended up breaking down Paradise by the Dashboard Light for like 2 weeks straight. Not my cup o' tea musically but couldn't help but respect the amount of work that went into it...
Tuki covers makes some decent stuff. I have a couple cab and amp covers from them that have held up well over the years.

Man, the Rat is probably my favorite distortion circuit, so many uses for that thing. I love slamming a Rat into a Big Muff, it just gives you this massive, filthy wall of Doom with the mids added back in that a Muff usually takes away. Sure its a little noisy but that's a small price to pay for...
Oh dang, straight from the Guru of High Gain himself. That makes sense to me why the outputs behave differently, it would be kinda weird to go straight into a power amp without any sort of a pre-amp. I kinda just had a forehead slapping moment. This is why this forum is an awesome resource...
I have a question about the Diezel VH4 Pedal (the one with 1 footswitch). I picked one up recently and love the sound, it's burly as all get out. Excellent note definition. But there is one thing about it that is throwing me off a bit. I first tried it through the To Guitar Amp output into...
Question for low tuned TRE users, I play 1 step down to D standard with the occasional drop C and I don't ever notice that big of a difference in sound when screwing around with the Foundation knob. From what little I understand of it, it adds more gain to your low end the more you turn it up...
What's up, newbie here. Probably a dumb question but does using a 12AX7LPS in the phase inverter change anything other than the hiss, does it lower the gain output perhaps? My Tre Reverb has always had somewhat of an ever-present hiss, nothing major and certainly never comes through in band mix...
