Years ago there was a NATAS clip floating around here and it was recorded through a 412 of plain old h30 anniversaries. Sounded so killer.
I hope there’s a free trial for the Neural DSP version. I just picked up Nameless and am wondering how similar the NTS is.
The new ones are the same circuit but without the boost and they’re in a smaller enclosure. The only change that I know of is an extra midrange control to tweak the frequency range for different amps. Sounds very useful actually.
Recorded in my living room with a pod into a Roland 8-track if memory serves. It’s not like the views are in the millions but got up way higher than I thought they would. I didn’t have a bass at the time so I added the bass track with my LP on the neck pup.

Yep, I love YT but the comment section can be a scary place. I wish I would’ve gotten in early on the whole gear review thing. Had a ton of views on an AIC cover I put up about 10 years ago or so. I could’ve used it to bring viewers in and rode the wave. Oh well. I still might start...
I have an Ecstasy Classic and the Red pedal. Depending on the amp I'm playing the pedal through, it comes incredibly close to the real thing and in some ways addresses what many don't like about the actual Red channel of the amp. The pedal is a bit more dry and immediate in the low end and has...
I took an old office chair from work and removed the arms for when I’m playing through the DAW or sims (Fortin Nameless, etc.)
Not the best solution but free is always good. Taller barstools or wooden stools with a seat cushion are good too. I usually stand when I play so I like being up...
I’ve been in standard or drop D on my two main guitars for several years now. Pretty refreshing.
I have a super strat (G&L Invader) in drop C# and a Schecter in variations of open B for the occasional chomp but standard has been feeling great.
I just want to play a Cameron and a Friedman Naked.
Other than that, I still love the same stuff I was interested in 10 years ago. There were some popular forum amps that had my attention for a year or two such as Baron Custom Amps and I've gotten into Peters since I joined.
It's a shielding thing. I've tested both ways and don't notice much of a difference but maybe at high volumes with a noisy rig it makes more of a difference? There are pages upon pages on this topic on other forums with many attempts at proving it false or fact. Most people think it's BS but...
I've been using the Bogner Red since it came out in 2013 (?). Tried many since then, some great but through the right amp set completely clean, the Bogner kills and sounds/feels more like an amp than most others. The mini versions should be out very soon.
Also, I second reverymike's Barber...
I got to play a few different Peters last year. Killer amps! To me, they sounded a bit like they were in Uber territory but tighter. I played a Rev Blue the same day through the same cabs which could’ve had something to do with that opinion. speakers and cab are such a big part of the tone...
Damn, that was a long time ago. I came here in search of all things Diezel and ended up getting obsessed with this place, making some good friends who I actually hang out with in person and having a massive man-crush on Mailman. HA
Still don't own a Diezel. Oh, and James' amp-fests were...
The mini Jubilee sounds really good but possibly not the best to nail the tones you're after. But it does have EL34s
All of the Victory stuff looks/sounds great in demos. I'd love to try those out, as well as the PRS Tremonti head.
Glad you're loving the amp now. I love the VH4 and have been curious about this one since it was announced. Heard some great demos too.
I don't think you'd like the Ecstasy based on the tones you like. It doesn't have the attack or upper mid thing that I can get from a Marshall or Diezel...
