I posted this on the afx forum, but its slower so thought I'd post here.
I have the spill over globally set so that when I switch patches both verbs and delays will spill over to the next patch or stay on after I kick my lead boost off.
Something happened at practice today and now, even in...
very cool....and I hear ya....on the simple amp, but nail the effects.
I guess maybe for my own knowledge I was looking to help put amp names from a manual to a tone i've heard on a cd as well. Some of them have a clean sound that I usually dont dial on, it seems to have a touch of gain...
Yeah I had the G-system and know what you mean. I can, and probably will narrow it down. my approach is usually this with patches.
presets 1-4, are my core sounds. "my" tones. Clean, crunch, heavy, lead. Patches after that will be on a song specific basis pending tone/controllability...
Hey guys, A bit cumbersome...but could use some help. Because I've never had the pleasure (or pocketbook) to play most of the amps on the list, could I get some help with pinpointing which amps will help get me the tone on the original? The project I'm in is pretty high level for cover bands...
well I was kinda forced to change them as one of the stock ones went bad, didnt have money for another one so swapped what I had available...but yeah I like it.
ok, but for the mass cover band crowd, if I set a harmonic patch to kick in on a scale...what scale would it be...I can set the key and the scale...I just dont know much about scales.
Would I set it to Eb, pentatonic minor..???
Hey guys, is there an easier way for me to determine what type of scale was used in a song for a harmony?
I'm trying to do a harmony section on a lead for a song and it wants to know what type of scale to use...
The song in question is Round and Round, by Ratt
Thank you Mark, you confirmed the way I was planning on going. Thanks a million. I was wanting to go the GCP route and exp pedals, and now have gear in mind. Thanks, I can't wait to get this setup going.
i'm ok with direct, i gigged this past year with a Boss gt-10 direct and loved it.
Mark - I did read a bit about the 'breaking the string' thing. I guess, I would tend to stay away from that sorta thing and probably go the boss route like you recommended...those pedals do look nice...how is...
that is basically what my rig will be exactly like. different pedal board, but exact same concept. Do you run direct to board? or out to cabs for jamming?
which EBJR's are you using? Passive?....I've never looked into different expression pedals and such.
just cause I'm a newb, which one would I want the 500L or the 500H...i looked on the site, but dont know the difference for my application. I would think the mono one is the one that I would want, correct?
any word on that piece of gear? I'm still leaning the Ground control way.....dont mind spending more if need be, but so far I havent seen the reason why. the tuner thing isnt a deal breaker for me. I can program the patch names into the GCP no problem, little extra work doesnt scare me. The...
well right now on my GT-10, I have patch 1-3 as my heavy patch, 1-4 as my lead patch.
1-3 - Heavy - CTL 1 turns on my lead sounds, but the switch is momentary switch not latching so I can step on it for short little lead fills and step off to go back to rhythm. Exp 1 - is setup activate such...
which is why I was looking at the Ground Control, it has less buttons than the liquid foot, but I do like being able to see the tuner info on the pedal if possible.
Does anyone know if the GC or other pedal do the momentary and latching pedal types....I thought I remember reading that the GC...
my current gig will provide enough cash to live off of, especially supplementing the wifes check, which we wouldnt ever have to touch. On top of that, I can shift my job hours to accommodate the gig schedule enough so that I'm still making a check, and able to travel to the shows as needed.
