I have seen that sirron add, are those amps good for thrash? I know they are high gain but dont know what type of gain structure they have never played one.

I always wanted to try this mod, one of my buddies had a steavens 50w modded by bogner, it was a good tone good amp but had a midrange hump/thump dont know how to describe it, but no matter what I turn in the EQ it was there, thats why I did not keep it.

A couple of years ago in austin texas craigslist was a mako 100 w head 2 channel for sale that sold fast, I wonder if it was a good amp to have. probably very few made.

I had a K80 i think was the model from Baron custom amps, was a great amp 2 channel clean was nice and fat, and the gain was think and dry with a very nice palm mute chugg and big clear chords.

Why is that, do you think is more aggressive?

You're right on that but sometimes they lost the gas or they don't sound like they say, I tried NOS 20, 30 years old and they some or most of them are not worth it, get new, fresh made, yes they probably have sometimes a noise but also you can get awesome ones, and for a fraction ofr the price...
