    Carvin guitars robbed!

Why so much hate for Carvin? They make guitars as good as any boutique company out there, including Suhr, Anderson etc. You can't buy them in any store & have to order direct, but so what? My guess is that most people hating on carvin have never even seen one in person, yet alone played one...

    Dumble gut shots

It really doesn't matter. There are 100% accurate schematics of all Dumble amps out there from before he started gooping the guts. I had a boutique amp builder build me an exact clone of the OD Special from the schematics. Didn't cost me $100K either. Nik from Ceriatone has them too & can...

    keisel guitars... allan holdsworth...

I haven't played the new Kiesel Holdsworth models, but I had a Carvin Holdsworth model, which I think is pretty much the same thing. It was a super high quality, great sounding guitar, but the neck dimensions, body style & balance were hard to get used to for me, so I sent it back & bought an...

    NGD : EVH Striped Guitar

I do that to all my guitars now. Feels super sleek & fast & doesn't get dirty. After playing the unfinished EVH guitar for an hour, the entire neck started getting black & gummy. With the oil/wax combo, it sounds the same, but feel faster & doesn't get dirty.

    NGD : EVH Striped Guitar

I modified it a little bit. I sanded the headstock, taking off the gloss & EVH logo. Then I put on a Kramer decal I bought off ebay & sprayed a thin layer of gloss on top. I shimmed he neck so I can now pull up on the bar. I sanded & cleaned the neck & applied tru oil & gun-stock wax so it...

    NGD : EVH Striped Guitar

I love the black headstock & Charvel decal on the bumblebee. So tempted to that that myself if I can pick one up cheap.

    NGD : EVH Striped Guitar

I've always wanted one, as I am a huge early EVH fanatic, but didn't think they'd be that good. I just wanted one for the sake of nostalgia, but these guitars are pretty damn awesome. w1HjdSmpo2c

    Transformer upgrade on Ceriatone

From what I read, Ceriatones components are top notch, so I just ordered a stock Yeti 50. We'll see what happens in 5 weeks.

    Transformer upgrade on Ceriatone

Has anyone done a transformer upgrade on their Ceriatone amps & did it improve the tone dramatically? I'm wondering if upgrading to a Mercury would be worth it? Nik says his transformers are comparable to all the high end one so I'm wondering if the extra cost is worth it.

    Ceriatone Yeti 50

is it still capable of getting decent VH & vintage type plexi tones? My worry is that it may be too hot rodded & modern an amp.

    Ceriatone Yeti 50

Yes, this is what Nik told me. The Yeti has less gain, is a bit warmer & has tighter bass. Sounds like the perfect amp for me.

    Ceriatone Yeti 50

Sounds great!!!! Do you know of any used Yeti 50s anywhere?

    Ceriatone Yeti 50

How so? I'm not looking for a mega distortion amp? More of a versatile Marshall type sound. Kind of like a warmer more versatile plexi type tone.
