They made those for the year 1988.....It was a roll over amp from the original 1987 2550. The Black & Gold was the final revision of the Jubilee. There were 3 revisions.....even the 2555SL from 1996 was based off the black & gold that slash owned.

That's all i ever used with my Jubilee & it sounded great.

Yeah Trace had a way of sucking the balls out of every amp. Everyone i know that had their 5150 modded by him later sold it cause it sounded like shit.

I remember the original Guitarist in the Band Nonpoint used one of these back when they were called Nonpoint Factor & Billed themselves as a Christian Band. He used a DOD EQ in the loop, it didn't sound bad.

According to Grammy winning Producer Steve Lamm EVERY GATE since the 1980's is Based off of or a Direct Copy of the Boss NS2. I do not agree but he made sure to remind me he won a grammy back in 2008. He used to work for Joel Osteen so i guess i should take his word for it.

That's Strange cause i've heard that Joe just copied the Zuul like Lots of other builders did. they are of course a copy of the Gate from the KK Marshall.

I've never had a problem with leads & i run delays & reverb when i play a lead or clean....well clean, i run a delay/reverb/chrous.

I Actually Loved the Guitar Silencer Rackmount i used for years. Liked that unit so much i owned 4 of them at one time.

i Have the Zuul Plus & i just set everything to 10 o'clock & it works perfectly.....even if i crank the gain on the red channel of my 5153 50 watt. Which for the record i only did once to see how good the Zuul Plus is.

It doesn't require 3 batteries. The Mod can be purchased on Ebay or Reverb & it take 2 12v batts that are included. It's better than having 2 9 volt that take up a lot of space.
