Yep, the oiled walnut version. I'm playing a MM model Ibanez right now but it's a 28 scale length I believe. I wanted to get something that could handle the tuning as well as having a trem and a "normal" scale length the Horus HGS looks like a perfect fit.
What do you have your HGS tuned to? I was thinkin of dropped B for the HGS horus, but I'm not sure what gauge of strings I would need for them to not be wet noodles.
Btw, if you come across one for sale let me know if you would, you seem to be in the loop with Caparison's.
I have one on a warmoth bolt on, doesn't affect my sustain as far as I can tell.
One of the big differences is that with the standard kahler design when you dive your strings don't go slack. You maintain string height. But yes you can pull up just as far as a floyd can go and the feel is alot...
Magnum caseworks made the case. The G sys and the herbert work quite sweetly together, I like how easy the setup/teardown is.. although the case aint light by any means.
better effect quality is questionable, the routing options are there on the gforce though.
For me the g-sys was the way to go, of course you can buy a midi pedal and toggle effects etc with a gforce but the gsys has this outta the box. Everything is laid out from the get go, no guessing.
