Added True Bypass.
I know it's totally OCD, but I like to have the signal from my guitar hit a single buffer up front, then be a straight-shot to my amp, through all TBP pedals. To my ears, it just keeps it cleaner.
Hey guys. I'm selling my Bogner Duende head, and in the process, I decided to have some fun and make a little video demo.
Turned out pretty good, so I figured I'd share here, to anyone who's ever wondered what the Duende sounds like.

Agreed. And to be honest, if it was any smaller, I think I would have mis-stepped on the wrong button a few times that night.
I'd much rather have the pedal big, and the switches relatively roomy.
Guitar centers are getting them in here and there... Managed to score one from a north NJ store.
But you're right. Most retailers aren't getting the till the 23rd.
Rich (Lublin here on RT) was kind enough to record, and post, a clip of me hacking my way thru the solo to Sweet Child O Mine.
Again... First show jitters, ironing out all the kinks, shaking off the rust. A few bum notes in here, but you guys can hear the amp at work.
thanks Rich!

So last night was my new band's first gig. Two long sets on a weekend, and I'm BEAT today. But man, what a great time. Took me a good 45 minutes to shake the rust off (It's been a year since my last gig), but the tone was spot on.
This was my first gig with my Bogner XTC. I'm just blown away...
For those that have done the footswitchable MODE mod on your Shiva, I'm sure you're aware that the Green LED is very dim. (The existing "Reverb" switch on the footswitch.
I figured out a fix:
Replace the 100 Ohm Resistor (Positive leg of Green LED) with a IN4728A Diode (just like the Red LED...
She's smiling, as if she's saying "Tee hee hee. Not only can I play this solo better than you, but you also have ZERO chance scoring with me."

I've done some pickup cavity enlarging totally by hand. Chisel, sanding blocks, etc. I started this project, and took pictures for "TalkBass Forums". Most people were skeptical, and were expecting a disaster.
I like to think that I proved them wrong.
Just take your time. If you're using the...
So last night, I decided to open up my XTC and do the pre/post 2004 mod. I was all set to do this, and make it switchable via mini toggle.
Had the chassis open. Carefully removed the resistor/capacitor combo that is the "2004 mod". (I placed tape over the adjacent WIMA capacitors, so I didn't...
Hey guys. I'll work on re-uploading these images ASAP.
Apple discontinued MobileMe and it's image hosting, so getting everything over to Flickr has been less than fun.
I don't think it's a huge ego, as much as its smart marketing. He knows he's the face of his brand, and that when people see Bogner, they think "awesome amps made by that wacky German dude in crazy clothes." haha
